With the news of the Red Sox trading Adrian Gonzalez, Carl Crawford, Josh Beckett and Nick Punto to the Los Angeles Dodgers for James Loney, Rubby De La Rosa and some prospects. Cameron, a Red Sox fan, gives his reaction to the trade.

There is no read more on this one. I just want to make this as quick and as short as possible.
This trade was a big white flag on account of the Red Sox. I am a Dodgers fan, only because I believe it to be fine to root for one A.L. team and one N.L. team. That is beside the point though. The Dodgers won this trade and the Red Sox lost it. You can look at it as a new-beginning for the Red Sox with the pitching prospects they got. Or you can take the factor that a guy who is hitting .256/.302/.344 with four home runs this season, and really sucks is your new starting first basemen. James Loney was one big metaphorical white-flag in this trade, and as Red Sox fans we should be prepared to watch ‘Big Papi’ leave later in free agency too. Welcome back to hell Red Soxs fans, we’ll always have 2004 and 2007, and at Least we aren’t Cubs fans. Right?
