The Editors at HefferBrew give you their picks for the first matchup of Week 6 and again ruminate on the “success” of Thursday Night Football.

Ok Thursday Night Football, we really need to talk because this is getting old. The past 5 weeks, we’ve seen football played on Thursday night, available only to those who purchase the NFL Network. Most likely, there are millions of people that purchased this channel with the intent to see some exciting middle-of-the-week football action. The problem is the games that have been played have been nothing but one-sided ass kickings, the only thing remotely competitive has been the coin-flip at the start. Now, we’ve got the Pittsburgh Steelers taking on the Tennessee Titans, who will be without starter Jake Locker and instead see Matt Hasselback get the nod at QB. Gotta love football on Thursday, right?
Dustin: Steelers- We all know how this is going to go down, we’re both going to pick the Steelers, the nation is going to pick the Steelers, and they’ll lay an egg tonight and piss everyone off. Just about every Thursday game has followed this formula. That said, there’s no way I’m picking Hasselback and the Titans to upset the Steelers because last I checked, Chris Johnson can’t run for more than 1 yard at a time and the Steelers, despite they’re questionable play thus far love nothing more than hitting people into submission. With the ground game neutralized, it’s going to fall on Hasselback’s shoulders to carry the team and even without Troy Polalalalalalamalu, the Steelers D is going to likely haunt Hasselback’s dreams for the next week. Steelers – 31, Titans – 14.
Cameron: Steelers- I don’t really have to explain that right? Steelers – 27, Titans – 10.
