With the NBA season underway, let’s take a look at a few of the biggest story-lines in the league this week.

-The Return of Love- The Minnesota Timberwolves welcomed the return of All-Star (and best PF in the league) Kevin Love after breaking his hand before the season started. In his first week back with the team, Love has put up 73 points, 42 rebounds, 5 assists, 5 steals and a block. It’s safe to say, Uncle Drew would be proud.

-Not-So-Sad Bobcats- Despite reminding the world that they’re still the Charlotte Bobcats with a 114-69 blowout loss to the Thunder, the Bobcats are already enjoying a more successful year so far than all of last season. They’ve already matched their total of 7 wins all last year so barring an epic collapse where they lose every single game the rest of the way and Kemba Walker stops showing flashes that he is going to be an elite scorer in the league, than Charlotte stock should stay on the rise.

-Nets Win New York (for now)- Finally, fans were treated to the hometown rivalry game that Hurricane Sandy denied us at the start of the season; a showdown between the New York Knicks and the Brooklyn Nets. 63 points from Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler weren’t enough as the Nets won in OT and staked their claim as a legitimate threat to New York’s basketball heart. Fingers crossed they both make the playoffs so that Spike Lee and Jay-Z erupt in a war of words.

-Harden’s Homecoming- This Wednesday, James Harden and the Houston Rockets will march into Oklahoma City for a matchup against Harden’s former team. All season, Harden has been a scoring machine, showing that he can be the first option on a team but the Thunder have managed to shake off a rocky start to seemingly return to the form that many expected would keep them atop the Western Conference last season. There will certainly be a playoff intensity to this game as both teams will look to prove a point and make a statement.
