With the Nation watching and the injured Kevin Ware courtside, Louisville answered the bell big time to score a birth in the National Championship Game.

Tim Henderson, the walk-on suddenly thrust into heavy minutes due to Ware’s well-publicized injury, hit back-to-back threes that cut Wichita State’s lead to six and sparked a 21-8 run that gave the Cardinals their first lead since the first half.

The Cardinals struggled early and didn’t show hints of their suffocating defense until the lead seemed insurmountable.

However, in the last seven minutes, Louisville was finally able to put pressure on Wichita, generating 7 turnovers in the last 7 minutes after almost 26 minutes without a turnover.

Louisville will play the winner of Syracuse/Michigan Monday night.
